“Happy Winter! Masta Canasta class signups are open through Spring 2024. I am offering both in-person and virtual classes. I’ll bring everything you need to learn the game; all you need is a group of friends ready to meld!”

In-person and virtual classes are forming now. Class offerings include:

• Beginner Class: Learn to play Canasta!

• Advanced Class: Learn strategy, including Special Hands and Signaling Sevens and Aces.

• Supervised Game Play: Ask questions while you play, virtually or in person.

• Tournaments: Online and in-person tournaments - come with a partner or be paired after signing up.

Helaine Neiman will help you "Masta Canasta" through her unique instruction style and teaching tools.

Certified

Helaine has received training and certification from the Canasta League of America™, the foremost leader in modern Canasta instruction in the United States. This training ensures that students learn the game properly, right from the start, including both the rules and strategy. Helaine has taught over 900 people to learn and love the game.

Unlike a community center or a larger class environment, classes with Helaine are limited to only 6 students. These intimate class sizes allow you to "masta canasta" in a small group setting with a 1:6 teacher/ student ratio. Everyone learns at one table which ensures a better learning experience. Additional courtesy instruction goes beyond the classroom as Helaine is available via Zoom, phone, and email to answer questions.

Fun

Helaine provides Canasta instruction throughout New Jersey, primarily focused in Northern and Central New Jersey. Canasta lessons are offered throughout Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, and Somerset Counties.
